"The carnival went off extremely well. Most say the weather added to the atmosphere as everyone that was there just wanted to have a great time. Hats off to the organisers - Free Beach Association of NSW and River Island Nature Retreat."

"It seems the entire east coast of Australia has had a wetter than usual year in 2000. With constant storms bringing thunder and lightning and hail, there's been extensive flooding across much of central NSW. With this in mind, who were we to complain about the all day showers for the 4th annual Samurai nude games.

The numbers were down by over a thouand on last year's carnival and the media attention was at a minimum. Although partly due to the less exhaustive advertising this year, many people were turned off by the rain.

However, rather than cancel or postpone the games, organisers decided to go ahead so as not to disappoint those that had ignored the weather and turned up anyway." READ ON...
